1923-2019
The passing of Barbara Sheila (Travis) Wadlin, wife of the late Hollis
“Buster” Clifton Wadlin formerly of St. George NB occurred
at the Lincourt Manor, St. Stephen NB on July 28, 2019. Born in New
River Beach NB on July 5, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Harley
and Mildred (Mahar) Travis. A loving mother, grandmother,
great-grandmother and sister, Barbara is survived by her daughter:
Debbie (Ralph) Deveau of Lower Sackville NS; one son: Robert (Karen)
Wadlin of Ontario; grandchildren: Nicholas Deveau, Matthew Wadlin and
Travis Wadlin; two great-grandsons: Aiden and Zachary; one sister:
Zelda McPherson of Little Lepreau NB; several nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was
predeceased by two brothers: Robert Travis and Winford Travis; one
sister: Madeline Hazlett.
A caring and kind soul, Barbara worked hard as a homemaker for her
husband and family. She worked for several years at the St. George
Woman’s Clothing Store and could sometimes be found working beside her
husband, Buster, at the St. George Pharmacy. She had a passion for
Curling and enjoyed going south to Florida when she could.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Barbara’s wishes there
will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held
in the fall. In Barbara’s memory, donations to Lincourt Manor or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family
