Avery’s Obituary
NICKERSON, Avery Samuel – 86, of Clark’s Harbour, passed away on July 17, 2019 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather. He will be missed by his loving wife, Blanche (Goodwin) Nickerson; his 4 children, Shelly Nickerson (Jim Moreland), Carol (Nickerson) Goguen (Leo Goguen), Steven Nickerson (Cheryl (Gouchie) Nickerson), Julie Nickerson (Michael Newell); a brother, Clinton Nickerson (Jean (MacCaul) Nickerson; along with his 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Brenton, Roger and Lee; and 2 sisters, Betty Newell and Kathleen Newell. There will be a visitation held Saturday, 7-9 p.m., at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will take place, Sunday, July 21, 2 p.m. at the H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Rev. Vince Robertson officiating. Interment to follow in the Old Kirk Cemetery, North East Point. We, the family, would like to thank Dr. Hynes and the staff on 4 North of the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for all their support and kindness. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Rosalin Nickerson Care Fund or to a charity of your choice.
