1932-2019
It is with sadness that we announce the
passing of Dorothy Lois Potter, age 87,
of Springhill, NS. Dorothy passed away at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre on Wednesday, June 19,
2019.
Dorothy was born in Charlottetown, PEI,
the daughter of the late Milton and Claire (Croken)
Cannon.
Dorothy was a loving and caring woman
who was appreciated and loved by all her friends and
family.
Dorothy will be sadly missed by sons,Ted
and Stuart (Georgie), both of Springhill; Steven (Sandy) of Calgary
and Brian (Roseanna) of Brandon; daughters, Cathy (Donald) Sarson,
East Amherst, Enid Munro (Kris Landry), Springhill and Debbie
(Michael) Roberts, Rothesay, NB; brothers Charles Cannon, Dartmouth,
and Wendell of PEI; sisters, Hilma Tracey of Saint John and Adera
Garron, Digby, NS; and several grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Glen;
brothers Joseph and Patrick; sisters Vivian Somerville, Phyllis Todd
and Elizabeth Higgins.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St,
Springhill, NS (902-597-2361) where cremation has taken
place. Dorothy’s life will be celebrated at an Afternoon of
Remembrance from 2 to 4 pm at A H Brown Funeral Home on Monday, June
24, 2019 with Father Craig Christenson sharing a message at 2
pm. Burial will take place in the Hillside Cemetery,
Springhill following the gathering.
Donations in memory of Dorothy may be
made to the Salvation Army or the charity of your
choice.
