Darius Edward Hussey
Darius Hussey, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Mount Moriah, NL, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 36 years.
Darius was born in Corner Brook, NL on June 16, 1982 and was raised in Mount Moriah, NL. He battled kidney disease for the last year.
Darius was a loving and caring father and an honest man. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved working on bikes, sleds, and working on his truck.
He will be sadly missed by his fiancée Ashley Lynn Rye; children: Hannah Callahan (of Corner Brook, NL), Dominic, Chanel, and Arabelle; parents Yolanda Hussey-Brake and Brian Brake; brothers: Johnathan Brake and Christopher (Kelly) Brake; nieces and nephews: Gracie, Kayden, and Addison; aunts and uncles: Lol and John Pye, Carol and Terry Skeard, Ralph and Lisa Brake, Roddy Brake, Richard Brake, Karen and Dave Etty, Hilary and Dwayne Brake, and Darryl and Alona Brake; as well as numerous cousins, relatives, and many loving friends.
Darius was predeceased by his grandparents Roberta “Bobby” and John “Ned” Hussey.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Viewing will be held prior at 12:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada (202, 11227 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, AB, T5K 0L5).
