Obituary of Barbara Ruth Godard
It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Barb, beloved wife of Emile and cherished mother, grandma and great grandma after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.
Mom was born in Dryden, Ontario on July 20, 1940 to James and Ellen Tuckey. Mom married the love of her life Emile on September 20, 1958 and shared 60 wonderful years together. Mom was very proud of and loved all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest surrounded by her family. Mom enjoyed gardening, cooking, bird watching, volunteering for the Red Cross for 50 years. She loved family gatherings, traveling and generously gave her time and energy caring for others. Mom was very loved by everyone and will be deeply missed.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Barbara.
