Mrs. Willene Kerr of Gainsborough and formerly of Carievale, passed away at the Gainsborough Long Term Care on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 87.
Willene is survived by her three daughters, Kim Murray (Hank), Donna Mains (Terry), Colleen Kerr (Mel); seven grandchildren, Gayla Carley (Kris), Marna Martin (Travis), Kristen Rae, Jenna Rusk (Ryan), Larisa (John) Murray, Coby Mains (Jenna), Brett Phair (Kei); nine great grandchildren, Keagan & Kieran Carley, Remy Rae, Kale, Kenza & Kolter Martin, Jensyn, Layden & Lawsyn Rusk; brother, Neil Byers; sister, Donna Baldwin (Bob); sister-in-law, Donna Mae Byers; brothers-in-law, Don, Rollie & Ross Kerr; sisters-in-law, Marlene Kufeldt (Frank), Alice & Evelyn Kerr; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Willene was predeceased by her husband, Dennis of 57 years in 2013; daughter, Shelby Roxanne Kerr; parents, Newton & Minnie Byers; step-father, Tom Thompson, brother, Murray Byers, sister, Wilma Gilmer; in-laws, Roy & Gladys Kerr; brothers-in-law, Gordon, Leonard & Garnet Kerr; sisters-in-law, Margaret Byers, Peggy & Louise Kerr.
A funeral service for Willene was held at the Carievale United Church, Carievale, SK. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Rob Reed officiating. Interment followed at the Carievale Cemetery.
Donations may be given to the Gainsborough Health Auxiliary Memorial Fund (Activities), Box 420 Gainsborough, SK. S0C 0Z0 or to the JDRF P.O. Box 35058, RPO Sherwood Village Regina, SK S4X 4C6.
