Obituary of Wilhelmenia Walter
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Wilhelmina Walter. Passed away peacefully on May 31, 2019, age 73 at Placentia Healthcare Center. Wilhelmina Walter is predeceased by her husbands Melvin Eugene Walter and Patrick McGrath, parents William and Theresa O’Reilly, sister Pauline and Brothers Pat, Bill and Gerry.
Leaving to mourn her daughters Frances Lake (Tom), Cheryl Kelly (Sean), Pam Walter (Jean -Baptiste Gagnon) and her son Rick Walter (Sherry). Her grandchildren Alyssa, Christopher, Meagan, Reid, and Gabriella; and her great grandchildren Lucas & Liam. Survived by sisters Patricia Mercier (Van) Bridget Swain (Bob), Susie Williams (Mike) Brother Eugene O’Reilly (Paulette).
Wilhelmina will be fondly remembered by her family and friends, with a special mention to Howard Browne who always offered her a listening ear.
There will be no visitation and a private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association (Newfoundland and Labrador) is requested.
A heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of Placentia Hospital, especially Danielle Power; her specialized caregivers Donna Janes & Gertie Duggan; and the helpful staff at Rosemore Homecare, especially Shirley Crittenden.
She will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.
