Warrant Officer William “Bill” Richard Baker CD (Retired)
1961-2019
Peacefully, surrounded
by the love of his family, Bill passed away on May
10th, 2019 at the age of 57.
Loving husband of
Sharon for 22 years. Cherished father of Richard & Warren.
Beloved son of Joseph Robert Baker, Eva Lenore Murrell (Mum) and
Kathryn Irene Monk; who raised Bill as her own. Brother of Laurie-Anne
(John), Dave, Tyson, Karen and predeceased by brothers Bobby, Ted and
Randy. Bill will greatly miss his fur buddies Elgee & Ender.
He will be forever remembered by his cousins & extended
family.
In 1979 Bill
joined the Second Battalion, The Royal Canadian Regiment; he served
overseas in Cyprus twice, in Bosnia and in Oka Quebec where he met his
wife Sharon. He held the appointment of Drum Major for a two year term
and after 34 years of service retired in 2013. Pro

Bill had a
witty sense of humor, he had a way about him that lifted people up
with his words and generosity.
As per Bill’s
wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of
Bill’s life will be held on Friday May
17th at the Evans Funeral
Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of
Egerton) at 1:00 p.m. with visitation at 12:00
p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the
charity of your choice can be made. Online condolences can be
expressed at www.evansfh.ca.
A tree will be planted by the staff of the Evans Funeral Home, as a
living memorial to Bill.
