With great sadness the family of Victor Drawehn announces his passing on May 1, 2019. Vic was predeceased by his parents Eric and Inge (Wilhelm) Drawehn. He is survived by his wife Kae, daughter Sara (Andrew) and stepson Bob Gerber (Lois). Grampa Vic will be missed by his grandchildren Leah and Caleb Gerber and Alice and Fiona Drawehn. Vic was born in Germany and came to Canada as a young boy in 1956, where he settled with his parents in Hespeler, Ontario. He married his first wife Patricia in Nova Scotia in 1979, where his daughter was born. He met his second wife Kae in Waterloo and they married in 1990. Vic and Kae settled in St Jacobs, Ontario where they lived together for many years. He worked for several years as a
machinist at H & O Grinding in Waterloo. Vic was well-known and loved by many people. He was an avid outdoorsman, a passionate musician, and was very involved in community outreach. He was a man of deep faith, and loved to express it through his music as a member of the worship band at Ray of Hope. A visitation will be held at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 617 King St. N. Waterloo, ON on Thursday, May 9th from 3 to 5pm, with a celebration of life service at 7pm.
