Passed away peacefully at the Forest Hill Nursing Home, Ottawa on Friday, May 17, 2019. Thomas Andrew Shearer, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Denise (nee Tougas) and dear father of Harold (Connie) Shearer, Thomas (Krisie) Shearer, Ivan (Tracey) Shearer, Lisa (Jodi) Davidson and Robert Shearer. Survived by his 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren as well as his sister Geri Byrnes (Gary). Also survived by his sister-in-law Diane and her husband Denis, his two brothers-in-laws Paul (Denise) and Peter (Jo Anne), by his former wife Marlene and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tom was predeceased by his parents Edward and Beatrice Shearer.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Saturday, May 25th from 10 am until 11 am when a celebration of Tom’s life will be held in the Chapel at 11 am followed by a reception. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville or the Canadian Diabetes Association will be gratefully acknowledged.
