1930-2019
Stuart Flemming Thorne, 88, of
Petitcodiac, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Moncton
Hospital with family by his side. Born in Havelock he was the son of
the late Roy and Noami (Hoar) Thorne. Stuart worked for the T. Eaton
Company and retired as custodian of the schools in Havelock.
He was a member of the Havelock Baptist Church, was a herdsmen, and
loved Belgium Horses and German Shepards. Stuart especially loved
family gatherings, his grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
Stuart is survived and sadly missed by
his daughters, Kathy Reeder (Jim) of Riverview, Lisa Lewis (Brad) of
Petitcodiac; son, Donald (Susan); daughter-in-law, Amy Thorne of
Havelock; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; mother of his
children, Mary D. Thorne; sister, Helen Corey; several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Stuart was
predeceased by his son Robin Thorne; grandson, Chad Thorne; sisters,
Della Perry, Lois Thorne, Velma Keith, Doris Eagles, Hilda Walker;
brothers, Chester and Clinton Thorne.
The family wishes to extend their
sincere gratitude to special neighbour Sandy Reeves, and to Moncton
Hospital floors 4200 and 3400.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350
Route 106, Salisbury (372-4800) from where visitation will
take place Thursday, May 30, from 6 – 9 pm and from where Funeral
Service will be held Friday, May 31, at 11 am with Rev. Jeff Irving
officiating. Interment in Loyalist Cemetery, Havelock.
If desired, memorials to Havelock
Baptist Church or Friends of the Moncton Hospital, Cardiac Unit would
be appreciated by the family.
