Peacefully with her family by her side at the Prince Edward Home on
Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 of Shirley Isabel Brine (nee Avery). Beloved
wife of the late John Brine. Dear mother of Gary (Sandra) and Bruce
(Marie). Loving Nana of Meghan, Tanner, Aiden and Brandon.
Sister-in-law of Florence (Arthur) Wadden. Shirley was predeceased by
her parents Elsie and Wilfred Avery and brother Bill. Shirley’s
family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and
volunteers at the Prince Edward Home and particularly those working on
Lady Slipper Path and Red Oak Heights for the exceptional care they
provided to Shirley. Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation
Monday 4-7 pm. A graveside service will be held at a later date in
Sydney, NS. Interment will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens,
Sydney, N.S. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to the
Prince Edward Home Recreation Fund or to Pat and the Elephant. Online
