Obituary for Ron Judson
Ronald Stewart Judson, a lifelong resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the age of 75 surrounded by his family at the Wallaceburg Retirement Home. Ron is the son of Roy Stewart & Jean (Bennett) Judson. Beloved husband of Marlene (Coveny). Loving father of Dan (Misty), Michelle (Kevin Charron) and Ric (Amanda). Cherished grandfather of Sam, Ben, Ryan, Shannon, Mason and Amelia. Brother to the late Dorothy Thomson (Don) and Diane Machacek (Carl). He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Ron was an accomplished musician and avid sportsman who loved duck hunting and being at the cottage at the bay. Ron was a natural athlete competing in and coaching various sports. In 1960-61, Ron was a member of the WDSS SWOSSA winning volleyball team, a team that was inducted into the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame in 2015, joining his father Roy and Uncle Vaughn in the Hall. As a young man, Ron was an amazing piano player, and when he was younger was in a band named “The Pharoah’s” and had the opportunity to play with musical legends Diana Ross and Stevie Wonder. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 on Friday May 24th. The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church on Saturday May 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Riverview Cemetery at a later date. If desired, remembrances to Ducks Unlimited Canada or the Our Lady Help of Christians Building Fund may be left with the funeral home. Online tributes may be left at www.CavanaghFuneralHome.ca
