Life Legacy
BEDARD, Roger Ernest – Passed away peacefully on Thursday May 23, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Jean Bedard (nee McPhail) (2011). Dearly loved father of Joe Bedard (Sue Clark), Jim (Arja) Bedard, Jeanette Lynch, Rosanne (Jeff) Somerville, Jane (Scott) Carson and Peter (Candace) Bedard. Cherished grandfather of Shannyn, Lindsay, Seija, Allie, Erin and Tianna and great-grandfather of Evan, Elliot, Gavin, Emma and Charlotte. Survived by his siblings Claudette, Madeleine, Rose, Norm and Denise. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Predeceased by his brothers Albert, George and Freddee, and sisters Annette, Irene and Aline. Roger was an active member of the Fallsview Hose Brigade, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and an avid euchre player. Friends and family are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Saturday from 1 to 4 pm and Sunday from 11 to 1 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. Cremation to follow. In memory of Roger, donations may be made to Maple Park Lodge Palliative Care or to the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer (In honour of John Gauthier, Participant ID: 631653-8), and would be appreciated by his family.
