EASTLAND, Rodney Claude – Passed away surrounded by his family at St. Catharines General Hospital on Saturday May, 18, 2019 at the age of 88. Devoted husband of the late Margaret (2009). Loving father of Julie (Ron Parker) and Joel (Kristin). Cherished grandfather of Aiden and Ava Eastland. Dear brother of Lorne, Marina, and the late Lloyd Eastland. Rodney was a loving father and husband. His favourite passion was his love for pigeons. He raced pigeons for over sixty years, which took him all over the world. Rodney was referred to as ‘Coach’ for the Rangers of the Jordan Old Timers Hockey League, whose games he attended weekly. Rodney’s family would like to thank the staff at Phyl’s Diner where he went to have coffee and toast most mornings, as well as the staff at St. Catharines General, especially the Intensive Care Unit, for their excellent care. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main Street, visiting Thursday May 23, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Gospel Church on Friday May 24, 2019 at 11am. A private interment will be held at a later date.
