Richard Stephen Cormier
1964-2019
Richard Stephen Cormier – age 54, of Port Williams. It is
with great sadness that his family announces his passing on Tuesday,
May 28, 2019. He was a son of Lucy (Maillet), of Enfield and the late
Joseph Cormier. Richard grew up in Shubenacadie, loved his family, the
outdoors and campfires. He had a passion for woodworking and his
timber frame company, Wise Owl Joinery where his skills and
craftsmanship are evident in his many projects throughout NS. He will
be deeply missed by his wife of 28 years, Lisa (Kent); daughters,
Aimee, Nicole and Mary; brothers, Lionel, Arthur (Colleen), Emile,
Gerald (Armeli), JoJo (Karen), Robert, Victor (Ellen); father-in-law,
Sandy Kent; several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was
predeceased by brother, Cecil. Cremation has taken place. The funeral
service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville,
with Reverend Robyn Brown-Hewitt officiating. Burial will take place
at a later date in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Stewiacke East. Donations
in memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
