Raymond Murchie
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ray Murchie announces his passing on Thursday, January 10th, 2019.
He was surrounded by family as he passed away peacefully at home at the age of 73.
He was the son of Dannie Murchie and Aggie LaPointe. Brother of Donald, Dawn, Cora and Connie. (Pre-deceased)
He leaves behind to mourn his wife Stella, his son Leigh (April), daughter Tanya, grandchildren Nikki, Ethan and Chelsea. He also leaves behind sister Valerie (Telesphore) and many nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Murchie settlement, he dedicated his life to the family farm. He was also a forestry worker and a beloved bus driver in the community for years.
Ray was known for his sense of humour and wit. He always had a smile on and was there to help family and friends anytime. His nieces and nephews say their best memories were with Uncle
Ray on the family farm.
He was passionate about politics and hockey but what he valued most was family. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He will be missed dearly.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, June 01, 2019 at 3 PM at St. Josephs Cemetery in Nash Creek.
Family and friends are all welcome.
In place of gifts or flowers, we kindly ask that donations be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
