The passing of Peggy Amelia (Dinner) Moir of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Walter Moir occurred on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Born on November 12, 1925 in Cranleigh, Surrey, England, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Clara (Croxford) Dinner. She retired from the Scotiabank after 26 years of service.
Peggy was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church; the Overseas Women’s Club, the War-Brides Club also the Provincial Association of War Brides and the DECRH Auxiliary.
She was a volunteer knitter for the Red Cross and enjoyed easy listening music.

Peggy is survived by her daughter Jennifer Speedy (Carl) of Fredericton, NB and son, Terence “Terry” Moir (Leslye) of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Heather, Adam (Rachel), Jeff (Linda) and Kristan (Jake); great-grandchildren, Rhys, Ethan, Gage, Brett, Kylee, Mackenzie and Jackson; sister, Elizabeth Rich (John) of England; brother, Alfred “Al” Croxford (Pauline) of Spain; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was predeceased by her step-brother, Ivor Dinner.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
A Memorial Service will take place at St. John the Evangelist Church on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Jon Lownds officiating.
Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery – Field of Honour.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church Building Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
