Nous regrettons de vous annoncer le décès de Monique Sylvain le jeudi 16 mai 2019 au Manoir North Centennial à l’âge de 93 ans. Elle fut membre de l’U.C.F.O., le Centre des loisirs et le Club de l’âge d’or. Elle fut une des fondatrices du marché des fermiers. Elle aimait tisser, tricoter, broder, cuisiner, le jardinage et s’occuper de ses animaux de ferme, surtout ses poules. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Lorraine Simard (Normand), Murielle Vallières (feu Raymond), Bernard (Colette) de Kapuskasing, Marjolaine Sylvain-Latulippe (feu Paul) de Kanata, Loyola (Suzanne), Ovila (Becky) de Kitigan, Anne Sylvain de Gatineau, Normande Sylvain (Richard Lévesque) de Carlsbad Springs et Nathalie Sylvain-Chartrand (feu Simon) de Moonbeam, vingt-trois petits-enfants, Valérie, Mélodie, Martin, Julie, Émilie, Philippe, Samuel, Véronique, Mireille, Karine, Samantha, Elizabeth, Alex, Erik, Marie-Geneviève, Patrick, Andréane, Marie-France, Sylvain, Isabelle, Didier, Janick et Maxim, dix-neuf arrière-petits-enfants, Émile, Malëa, Malléus, Logan, Cédric, Lauralie, Théo, Gabriel, Maxim, Adèle, Félix, Yanick, Clovis, Camille, Coralie, Sara, Alyssa, Ryker, Wyatt et un à venir, ses frères et soeurs, Gertrude Dionne (feu Roméo), Emery Dumais (feu Liz) de Kapuskasing, Jeanne-Mance Haché (Achille) d’Orléans et Lorraine Sakon (Peter) d’Indianapolis, ses belles-soeurs, Rolande Dumais de Kapuskasing, Diane Dumais de Kingston et Louise Dumais de Hamilton.
Elle fut prédécédée par son époux Liguori, ses enfants, Patricia, Patrice et Madeleine Sylvain, deux petits-fils, François et Rémi, ses frères, Roger, Vital, Charles, Réginald et Jean-Nil Dumais. La célébration eucharistique aura lieu le samedi 18 mai en l’église Notre-Dame-des-Victoires à 14h30 avec le Père Hervé Sauvé comme célébrant. L’inhumation suivra au cimetière de Kapuskasing. Comme témoignage de sympathie, la famille sera reconnaissante des dons au Manoir North Centennial – conseil des résidents pour les améliorations extérieures. ©
We regret to announce the death of Monique Sylvain on Thursday, May 16 at the North Centennial Manor at the age of 93. She was a member of the U.C.F.O., the Centre des loisirs and the Golden Age Club. She was a founding member of the Farmers Market. She enjoyed weaving, knitting, broidery, cooking, gardening and taking care of her animals, especially her chickens. She is survived by her children, Lorraine Simard (Normand), Murielle Vallières (late Raymond), Bernard (Colette) of Kapuskasing, Marjolaine Sylvain-Latulippe (late Paul) of Kanata, Loyola (Suzanne), Ovila (Becky) of Kitigan, Anne Sylvain of Gatineau, Normande Sylvain (Richard Lévesque) of Carlsbad Springs and Nathalie Sylvain-Chartrand (late Simon) of Moonbeam, twenty-three grandchildren, Valérie, Mélodie, Martin, Julie, Émilie, Philippe, Samuel, Véronique, Mireille, Karine, Samantha, Elizabeth, Alex, Erik, Marie-Geneviève, Patrick, Andréane, Marie-France, Sylvain, Isabelle, Didier, Janick and Maxim, nineteen great-grandchildren, Émile, Malëa, Malléus, Logan, Cédric, Lauralie, Théo, Gabriel, Maxim, Adèle, Félix, Yanick, Clovis, Camille, Coralie, Sara, Alyssa, Ryker, Wyatt and another arriving shortly, her siblings, Gertrude Dionne (late Roméo), Emery Dumais (late Liz) of Kapuskasing, Jeanne-Mance Haché (Achille) of Orleans and Lorraine Sakon (Peter) of Indianapolis, her sisters-in-law, Rolande Dumais of Kapuskasing, Diane Dumais of Kingston and Louise Dumais of Hamilton.
She was predeceased by her husband Liguori, her children, Patricia, Patrice and Madeleine Sylvain, two grandsons, François and Rémi, her siblings, Roger, Vital, Charles, Réginald and Jean-Nil Dumais.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18th at Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church at 2:30 p.m. with Father Hervé Sauvé officiating. Burial to follow at the Kapuskasing Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the North Centennial Manor Residents’ Council for exterior renovations would be greatly appreciated. ©
