Don passed away after a 13 year battle of Dementia, with family by his side, at Wildwood Nursing Home on May 8, 2019.
Survived by his wife of 52 years Sue (Susan White) son Shawn McKenzie of Harrow, Ont. and daughter Sheila Denise LeBlanc of St. Marys and their spouses. Proud Papa Don of 7 grandchildren Cameron and Katelyn of Harrow, Ont., Krystal Lee, Matthew, Lindsay Rosie and Christie of St. Marys. Also remembered by many St. Marys children associated with Sue’s Tiny Tots Day Care Centre. Never forgotten by brothers Richard, Ken of Stratford, Murray of Kingston Ont. and their spouses, many friends and fellow Contractors and co-workers of Holliday General Contracting Inc. As per Don’s wishes, he donated his brain and spinal cord to Parkwood Hospital for Alzheimers Dementia research in hope for a cure of this dreadful disease followed by cremation.
Funeral arrangements are not finalized at this time.
Memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Perth County.
