Henley, Mary Elizabeth – Age 87 of Dean, passed away May 28, 2019. Born in Dean, she was a daughter of the late William French Lemmon and Clara May (Hamilton Lemmon.
Mary always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed outings whether it was to play cards or bingo or listening to old-time music at the jamborees. She always enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Donna (Lee) Crossman, Larry (Lucy), Lisa (Jason Boutilier); grandchildren, Julie (Trent), Chad (Gillian); great-grandsons, Blaze, Gage; sister, Vera Amero; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell; brothers, Clifford, Lawrence, Earl, Harold, Carl, Doug, Luther; sister, Edna; a brother and sister in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian Church, Dean, with Calvin Burt student minister officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Sharon Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
A special thank you to Mitchell’s Rest Home for the wonderful care our Mom received for the past two-and-a-half years of her life; she was definitely happy there. She also made a special friend in Beryl Holder while a resident there. Thanks to the staff of Hants Community Hospital for the care she received in her final days.
