On May 25, 2019 Marjorie our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend left us peacefully, surrounded by family and tremendous love.
Marjorie grew up in Tufts Cove, Dartmouth and attended Harbour View School.
She is survived by her sons Tim (Marian), Lloyd (Sylvia), Mark (Joseph), John, & Jeff (Angie); grandchildren Leah, Alesha, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Boyd, Timothy (TJ), and Liam; and great grandchildren Logan, Sophie, Lyla, and Sadie; her great niece Amanda; her sisters Pearl, Jean (David), Shirley (Wayne), and her brothers Richard (Betty), and Bruce.
She was predeceased by her mother Frances Carpenter (Bonang), father Cecil Carpenter; brothers Lorne, Cecil, Harold, Donald, Allan, Gerald, Kenneth and her sisters Annie, and Dorothy.
Marjorie faced incredible challenges throughout her life with tremendous courage, strength and humility. Her source of strength was her five sons. Marjorie was a fiercely devoted mother who always put her son’s happiness and wellbeing before that of her own.
Marjorie’s quiet, unassuming, kind and gentle nature endeared her to all.
Marjorie was one of the strongest and most courageous women we will ever know.
Marjorie taught her children how to live by her example, and her spirit lives on through them and their children. We were truly blessed to have such an amazing mother!
Her death leaves a tremendous void in the hearts and lives of so many. We will dearly miss her love, her smile, her warmth, her laughter, her tremendous kindness, and her gentle sweet presence. Rest in Peace Marjorie, we love you tremendously and will see you again.
A memorial service for Marjorie will be held on August 10, 2019 at Bethel United Baptist Church, 316 Windmill Rd., Dartmouth, with reception to follow. The Rev. Vance Arbeau officiating.
The committal and prayer service will take place at 1:45 p.m. at Mount Hermon Cemetery, 136 Victoria Rd., Dartmouth, N.S.
