Mabel’s Obituary
Van Tassell, Mabel Helen – age 91, Plymouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Born May 31, 1927, she was one of ten children born to Laura (Bourque) and Albert LeBlanc. Mabel was a social butterfly, she much enjoyed quilting, sewing and time spent with her family and friends. She particularly enjoyed music and going to dances. Mabel is survived by her children; Marlene Balderson, Mike Van Tassell, and Karen Lent; brother Lovitt LeBlanc, and sister Regina Myers along with grandchildren Devon and Alana Balderson, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Trueman, brother; Eddie, sisters; Janet, Cecilia, Rosa, Blanche, Anna, and Margaret. Visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Chapel in Wedgeport on Monday May 27, 2019, with prayers at 8:30 p.m. The funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday May 28th at 11 a.m. from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church in Wedgeport with father Albeni d’Entrement officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in Mabel’s memory would be greatly appreciated to the Tri-County VON or the Canadian Cancer Society.
