LEWIS – Dorothy Ellen, 96, of Queens Manor, Liverpool formerly of Kempt, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor of Saturday, May 19, 2019.
Born in Port Medway, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Owen and Lottie (Whynot) Munroe.
Dorothy loved bingo, playing cards and camping. She was a former caretaker for “Dun Romin” campground in Annapolis. She will be fondly and lovingly remembered for her practical jokes and her fun loving nature.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Diane MacDougall of Mersey Point, Helen (David) Fox of Western Head. Her sons Billy (Ardith), Arthur (Cindy) and Roger (Jeannie), all of Port Alberni, BC and her step sons Robert Lewis and Clair Lewis. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her second husband John Lewis. Her son Ervin, her sisters Verna, Elva and Hazel and her brothers Maurice, Howard Ervin and Cecil.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be Friday, May 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Maitland Bridge. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
