Melvin William Leitheiser, born December 23rd, 1935, passed away May 23rd, 2019, Westlock, Alberta. Melvin was so much to so many and will be truly missed. He is survived by his children, Donna (Graham) Cathro, Darrel (Annette) Banks, Dwayne (Debbie) Banks, Diane (Floyd) Vander Haak; eight grandchildren; Ryan Luberda, Derek Luberda, Sheena (Andrew) Doucet, Whitney (Travis) L’Heureux, Crystal (Stefan) Skelton, Alyssa Banks, Sheyanne (Curtis) Crouse, Jessie (Chantille) Levall; twelve great grandchildren; Addison and Brady Luberda, Aurora Doucet, Harley L’Heureux, Caden Skelton, Johnathan,Christopher and Caitlyn Cournoyer, and Collin, Ryder and Presley Levall and Sloan Crouse.
Melvin will also be mourned by his sisters; Margaret and Beatrice and brother Louis, all of Wainwright, Alberta. He will also be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces,nephews and many friends. Melvin was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 2014.
Special thanks to Dr. Coulson and Westlock Continuing Care Centre staff for their effort in keeping Dad as comfortable as possible.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Colchester Community League Hall, 23219 Twp. Rd. 520, Strathcona County.
Donations gratefully accepted to Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.
