Obituary of Lawrence Schiewe
Lawrence Stanley Schiewe passed away at the age of 91 at his residence in Morris, Manitoba on Sunday, May 26, 2019.
He is survived by his wife Cornelia “Corrie” (nee Grywacheski), daughter Waltra Lewis (Pat), son Gary Schiewe (Wendy), daughter Sandra Herrmann (Shawn) and four grandchildren, Sam Lewis, Tom Lewis, Jeffery Poncelet and Trayza Stobbe-Fright.
Lawrence is also survived by one brother, Wilfred Schiewe (Eveline), sister in law Sheral McCann (Tom) and brother in law Lawrence Yaremko, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence will always be remembered as a soft spoken gentleman who looked forward to spending time with family and his frequent visits to the farm. He was born in Rosenfeld, MB, where he started farming at a young age with his brother and continued to farm in the Rosenfeld/St. Jean area his entire life.
The family would like to thank the Morris Fire Department, Paramedic Service, RCMP and the staff at the Morris General Hospital for their care.
A funeral service will be held at the Morris United Church on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:00pm. A private family burial will take place prior to the funeral at the Morris Cemetery.
