1923-2019
Kathleen E. Wallace of Maple Ridge, NB passed away on May 7, 2019 at
her home. Kathleen was born on February 11, 1923 at Waterville, York
Co., NB, a daughter of the late Raymond and Pearl (Chase) Thornton.
She is survived by her two sons, Edwin Wallace (Bonnie), Maple Ridge,
NB and Marcus Wallace (Anne), Millville, NB; five grandchildren, Sarah
(Hun), Lisa (Saad), Amy, Ryan (Kayla) and Ian; two great
grandchildren, Nahee and Liam; a sister, Shirley Kinney; two
sisters-in-law, Doreen Wallace and Arlene Thornton; several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Merle
L. Wallace; siblings, Eldeana Thornton, Earlen Thornton and Avis Allen
(late Art); sisters-in-law, Myrtle Bradley (late Leland), Bessie
Sproull-Scott (late Cecil); brothers-in-law, Robert Wallace and Ed
Kinney.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral
service will be held at Maple Ridge Wesleyan Church, Maple Ridge, NB
on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Trevor McGuire officiating.
Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery. A reception will follow at the
church.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Kathleen, the
family has suggested the Maple Ridge Cemetery or Millville United
Pentecostal Church.
The family wishes to thank Kathleen’s caregivers and special
friends, Evelyn Myshrall, Lynn Billings, Susan Graham, Ernestine
Graham-Hawkes, Tammy Hull, Judy Miller, Leanne Reid, Marcy Blaney and
Marleigh Genereaux and to NB Extra Mural, all for their excellent care
and concern, enabling Kathleen to remain in her own home.
