MR. KARL JAKOB SOTH
Of Magnetawan
It is with loss and sadness that I announce the sudden passing of my step-father, Karl Jakob Soth on May 14, 2019 at Lakeland Long Term Care, Parry Sound.
A construction worker by trade, his later hobbies included bee keeping, maple syrup production and a love for gardening.
He was a former resident in the village of Magnetawan for 13 years (2002-2015) where he was an active member in the Magnetawan Lions Club.
He then spent the next 3 years at the Muskoka Hills Retirement Villa (Bracebridge) followed by his move to Lakeland LTC in Parry Sound (2018).
It was his request that he be cremated followed later by a private graveside service of family with interment next to his wife Barbara (predeceased) at Chapman Cemetery (Magnetawan).
Sleep well, papa.
If desired, memorial donations to the Magnetawan Lion’s Club would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burk’s Falls.
