Joan is survived by her daughter Timmy-Jeanne (Mark) Tack of Castlegar BC, Brittany (William) Mueller of Medicine Hat AB, Jordan Tack of Trail BC, daughter Jenn (Rod) Wickenheiser of Lethbridge AB, DJ (Shelly Burcevski) Crerar of Calgary AB, Raquel Crerar of Calgary AB, son Steven Davies of Toronto ON., brother Carl (Crystal) Okeson of Mackenzie, BC, sisters Karna (Harry V) Miller of Berwyn, AB, Mona Nowak of Chilliwack, BC and Maja Cordick of Mission, BC.
She was predeceased by her daughter Lillian Dawn Marie, her son Dan Lee Davies and brothers Mons and Alan Okeson.
Joan graduated an LPN from Selkirk College in February 1987 and worked at KBRH in Trail before her retirement.
Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, wood carving, painting, writing and flower gardens.
Mom loved to create a design using fabric and thread as her palette. She loved to carve wood and work in her flower garden. Mom loved her family near and far and cherished the friendships she developed over time.
Thank you to family and friends for your endless support over the years. Thank you to staff at Castlewood Village for their loving care, support and friendship in her final years. Thank you to her extensive medical staff and support services for keeping her healthy, strong and independent. Thank you to Talarico staff for their love and support as she spent her final weeks. May she soar with the eagles, free of pain and keeping a watchful eye on us all.
A private family gathering will be held.
