H Wayne Dell April 9 1936 May 24 2019 (age 83)

DELL, H. WAYNE
With his family by his side, in hospital, on the evening of Friday May 24th, at the age of 83. Wayne is survived by his wife of 60 years, the much-loved Barbara (nee Holgate). He was the very proud father of David (Carolyn) and Jennifer (Martin Stott) and grandfather of the dearly loved Madeleine, Andrew, Thomas and Iain Dell and Matthew, Ryan and Emily Stott. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Lillian Dell (nee Bennett), his brother Preston Dell and his sister Marilyn Trotter. Wayne is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of 35 years with the Met Life Insurance Company, retiring in 1992. Despite many interesting travels with Barb and lifelong friends, his greatest enjoyment was always spending time at the cottage. Friends may call at the Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd). Visitation will be on Thursday May 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Friday May 31st from 12:30 PM prior to a memorial service in the Chapel at 1:30 PM. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute or the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Center would be appreciated.
