Obituary of Gilbert Denis Auger
Surrounded by his loving family at Strathroy Middle General Hospital on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019; Gilbert Auger peacefully passed away at the age of 77. Beloved husband of 53 years to Rita Antoinette Auger (née Lauzon). Cherished father of Sylvie (Warren) Meadows, Rachel Auger (Janet VanHout) and Daniel (Isabelle) Auger. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter Amy Meadows.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Strathroy Middle General Hospital for all the care and compassion shown to Gilbert in his final days.
In keeping with Gilbert’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart Institute, Ottawa or the L.H.S.C-Cardiac Care Services would be appreciated by the family.
