It is with heavy hearts that the family of Frances Ellen Elizabeth (Fran) Gowette wish to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend at Alexandra Hospital on May 2, 2019 after a brief struggle with cancer.
Born June 29, 1942 to the late Frank Dixon and Emma (Vahey) Dixon, Fran was a devoted mother to J. Marc (deceased October 17, 2017), Paul (Heather) of Hamburg, Michigan, Dan (Nancy) of Tillsonburg, and Michael (Bonnie) of Panama City, Panama. Proud Nana to Taylor and Ocean. Fran is predeceased by her loving husband, the late Dr. J.G. Gowette (Dec 20, 1986).
Whether it was travelling to see friends in B.C., Australia, or down the road in Long Point, Fran was a loyal friend to those that knew her.
In respecting mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place with inurnment to be at a later date. Friends and family are welcomed to share a glass of wine and their fondest memories at a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Carriage Hall, 25 Brock St, Tillsonburg from 5-9pm.
