Florence’s Obituary
Pye, Florence Louise – 68, West Pugwash, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of the late Loran Henwood and Catherine (Myers) Legere. Florence had worked at Stanfield’s in Oxford for over 20 years. Surviving are her daughter, Kelly Pye (David), Pugwash; son, Oliver Pye (Heather), Dartmouth; grandchildren, Olyvia (Brandon), Erica, Marcus, Annika, Ian, Liam, Nathan, Emma; great-grandson, Branson; brother, Lawrence; sisters, Mary, Marguerite; half-brother, Ron; half-sister, Louise; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Winchester. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Charles Edward Pye; sister, Shirley. A celebration of life will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Pugwash and Area Ground Search and Rescue Hall, King St., Pugwash. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash.
