Peacefully and just two weeks after her 92nd birthday, Elsie ascended to join her late and adoring husband of 66 years, Jack, on May 24, 2019. She and Lyla would catch the Guelph Junction Railway train each day to attend the Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute. A community dance brought her and Jack together leading to their marriage on June 11, 1949. Elsie worked at Aldershot Motors until leaving to provide exceptional care for her children, especially Jane. She always had a delicious treat and hot coffee/tea awaiting their guests who visited their home and family cottage on Baptiste Lake. Manor, Waterdown and the Carpenter Hospice, Burlington. In keeping with Elsie’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. A private family service will bid farewell to their loving matriarch.
