Golden, Eleanor Hart (nee Street)
May 26, 1917 – May 24, 2019
Died peacefully with her son Bill by her side at the Garry J. Armstrong Home. Eleanor was the beloved wife of the late Gerald Albert Golden and the late Jackson Sanford Hart, a loving mother of Douglas Hart (Yunlian Jiang) of Toronto, Sandy Hart (Sandra McGirr) of Tatla Lake, B.C. and Bill Hart (Barb Webb) of Coe Hill, Ontario, dearest friend of Jeannie Thomas, special Granny to Rebekah, Naomi, Eleanor, Rob, Katie, Niall and Tarn, and great grandmother to Arlo. Predeceased by parents Cunard and Marjorie Street and siblings George, Douglas and Cynthia, and survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor dearly loved her caregivers Sherlyn Porter, Sheila Hunt, Tracy Thoms, and especially Beverly Edwards. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of the Garry J. Armstrong for their kindness and care. A memorial service will be held at The Church of St. Bartholomew, 125 MacKay St., Ottawa, Ontario on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Eleanor’s memory can be made to the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society or a charity of your choice. Private interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Perth.
