Obituary for
Effie Jane Jackman
It is with great sadness that the family of Effie Jane Jackman announces her passing on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at the Connaigre Health Care Center at Harbour Breton, age 80 years, of Harbour Breton.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her loving family: daughters, Sandra (Reg), Bonnie (Bob) all at Harbour Breton, and Patsy at St. John’s; sons, Baxter (Betty) at St. Joseph’s Cove, Gerald (Sylvia) at Grand Falls-Windsor, Bruce at Harbour Breton and Stephen (Rachelle) at Stephenville; grandchildren, Jason, Yvonne, Christopher, Leon, Gerry, Jennifer, Tim, Sara, Kaitlyn, Erica and Emma; thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; brother, Gerry (Joyce) at Victoria, BC; sister, Olive (Gerald) at Fortune; brother in law, Harvey (Roma) at Hillview; special friend, Henry Tibbo, who she thought off as one of her own; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Thomas; granddaughter, Allison; parents, Grace and Clyde Roberts; as well as many other family and friends.
Visitation will take place at Spencer’s Funeral Home, Harbour Breton on Monday, May 27th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, May 28th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 29th, 2019 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
