Carl passed away peacefully with his family by his side at St. Andrew’s Residence on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the age of 103.
Carl was born in Waterloo on October 30, 1915 and was the son of the late Fred and Eleanor Miller.
Beloved husband of the late Viola Catherine (Berlet) Miller (2009).
Loving father of Paul, Mark, David and his wife Debbie.
Sadly missed by grandchildren, Kristin and Jay Feltz of Kingsville, Eric and Michelle Miller of Chatham and Colin and Steph Miller of Chatham.
Fondly remembered by his great-grand daughter, Cali Miller and step great-grandchildren, Dustin Hauspie and Christine, David, Josh, Cayley, Nathan, Matthew and Melodie Brooks.
Dear brother of the late Ruth Schnider (2018).
Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Carl was an employee of Canada Manpower for over 35 years. He was a veteran of WWII. He was an avid 5 pin bowler, gardener and camper. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church and Sunday School Superintendent. He was nicknamed “Pickles” in his younger days.
The family will receive friends at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 445 McNaughton Ave. W. Chatham, ON, on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m., with the Funeral Service to follow at the church.
Donations in memory of Carl to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
