Peacefully
with family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, May
13, 2019, the passing of Alice Charlotte Johnston (nee Millar) age 90,
of Montague and formerly of Peter’s Road. Devoted wife of
the late Glen Kenneth Johnston, Alice is survived by her loving
children, Linda (Douglas Wade) Johnston, Heather (Paul) vanOuwerkerk
and James (Anne) Johnston; sisters and brother, Helen Jardine (Chris
deceased), William Millar (Lou deceased and Barbara deceased) and
Betty Dunn (Jim deceased); cherished grandchildren, Jason (Kelly)
vanOuwerkerk, Ryan (Katelyn) vanOuwerkerk, Olivia Johnston and Owen
(Shelby) Wade; great grandchildren, Hendrik and Halle vanOuwerkerk,
Oliver and Everett vanOuwerkerk, and Adelaide Wade.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with
visiting hours on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral Service to take place on Friday, May 17, at 4:00 pm, at the
WellSpring Presbyterian Church with Rev. Mark Buell officiating.
Interment to take place in the Peter’s Road
cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the WellSpring
Presbyterian Church or the Peter’s Road Cemetery would be
greatly appreciated.
