Valerie Rankin (nee Hopkinson)
Died peacefully after a lengthy illness with her family by her side on April 28, 2019 at 61 years of age. She was born in the Windsor Riverside area on April 7, 1958. Loving wife of 37 years to Gary. Beloved mother of Lauren, Gerrod and Geoff (Stella). Cherished grandma of Olivia. Devoted daughter of Alex and Joyce Hopkinson. Sister to Pam Ingle (Mike) and Mark Hopkinson (Laurie). Special aunt of Laura and Sarah.
Valerie took a lot of pride in taking care of her family, her home and her gardens. She had a passion for cooking and baking, creating and hosting special memories for family and friends for all occasions. She had a generous heart that welcomed animals of rescue into her home and compassion for anyone she met.
If you so desire, donations in Valerie’s memory to the Windsor/Es Co. Humane Society or Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated.
Cremation was held.
Visitation on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m.
