Matilde passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on April 1, 2019, at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Francisco; her sons Ricardo (Allana) and Francisco Jr., and all their children.
She was predeceased by her daughter Angelica in 2017 and her parents Juan and Aurelia. She leaves behind her sister Angelica and brother Jorge and a large loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Chile.
Matilde was a masterful psychologist who worked in Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat and Slave Lake. She had a profound and positive effect on all who had the pleasure of working with her. She was passionate about life, love, family, and friends and will be remembered for her wit and always bringing a smile and laughter to everyone’s face.
A celebration of Matilde’s life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 11010 – 111 Ave., on April 5, 2019 at 5:30 pm.
