It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our baby brother John Philip after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents Sarah (nee White) and Patrick Francis Dempsey as well as his nephew, David Dempsey. Left heartbroken with cherished memories, his brothers and sisters, Pat and Elizabeth Dempsey, Erin and Gail Dempsey, Carmel and Robert Strong, Gerri and Roger Barbour, Mary and Max Hayes, Noel and Glenys Dempsey and Sarah Dempsey. John also leaves his nieces and nephews, Christopher Dempsey, Angela Dempsey (James), Patrick and Jenny Dempsey, Zachary and Melissa Hayes, Amy and Matthews Hynes, Lauren Strong, John and Jennifer Barbour, Morgan Hayes (Andrew), Josh Strong (Liz), Melissa Dempsey (Scott), Mike and Michelle Barbour and Nicole Dempsey (David); great-nieces and nephews, Isabella Dempsey, Zoey Hayes, Noah Walsh, Finley Blackmore, John Stanley Barbour, Emily Mae Hynes; best buddies Darryl and Angela Fry, Scott and Kelly Walsh, Todd and Deirdre Walsh and Joanne Bennett along with his co-workers at Memorial. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Wednesday from 6-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30am on Friday, April 26, 2019 from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist with cremation to follow. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in John’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
