Janet Victoria (MacDonald) Sturgeon, of White Rapids, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 92.
Born in Gray Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Pearl (Kelly) MacDonald.
She worked as a cook for Forrest Protection and was a member of the Saint Agnes Anglican Church, Gray Rapids.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Lois (Alvin Stewart) of Blackville; one son Ronald (Margaret) of Blackville; two daughters-in-law Rhonda Sturgeon and Joanne Sturgeon both of White Rapids; two sisters Marina Storey and Novaline Underhill (Gordon) both of Barnettville; five brothers Norman (Irene), Murchie (Mary), Orlie (Gloria), and Lorne (Marilyn) all of Fredericton, and James (Maxine) both of Gray Rapids; brother-in-law Frankie Bell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband Warren Sturgeon; sons Blaine Sturgeon and Frank Sturgeon; daughter Patricia Gillespie; infant son Warren Elridge; granddaughter Falon Sturgeon; grandsons Glen Sturgeon and Allan Keith Sturgeon; sisters Betty Bell and Aldine Urquhart; and four brothers Campbell, Earl, Eldon (Lois) and Jack (Lynn).
The family will receive relatives and friends from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Blackville, on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from 10 am to 12 pm.
The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019, from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Blackville, with Father Gerry Laskey officiating.
