Obituary for
Helene Mary Doucet (Hotte)
Passed away peacefully and courageously surrounded by her family’s love on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Ottawa General Hospital.
Daughter to the late Léo Hotte and Rollande LaBelle. Hélène leaves behind her pride and joy, daughter Cathy and wonderful son-in-law Denis Cousineau. She also leaves behind her two angels Émilie and Gabrielle, whom now have their beloved grandma as their angel.
Hélène will also be dearly missed by her sister Louise, brother Roger (Susan), niece Michelle and nephew Derek. She was a very strong, dedicated mother, providing an inspirational outlook to life and she cherished having her family close by. A very proud and loving grandmother. Hélène also had a fulfilling lifelong career at the Ottawa Catholic School Board, retiring in 2008 where she touched so many peoples lives in a positive way.
Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Parkway), Ottawa, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 12pm until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1pm. A reception will follow.

Décédée paisiblement et courageusement, entourée par l’amour de sa famille le vendredi 26 avril 2019 au Campus Général de l’Hôpital d’Ottawa. Elle était la fille bien-aimée de feu Léo Hotte et Rollande LaBelle. Hélène laisse dans le deuil sa fierté et sa joie, sa fille Cathy ainsi que son merveilleux gendre, Denis Cousineau. Hélène quitte également ses deux petits anges, Émilie et Gabrielle, et est maintenant devenue leur ange gardien.
Hélène restera dans la mémoire de sa soeur, Louise, son frère, Roger (Susan), sa nièce, Michelle et son neveu, Derek. Elle était une mère forte et dévouée. Elle donnait toujours une perspective inspirante à la vie et elle chérissait énormément la présence de sa famille. De plus, elle était une grand-mère très fière et aimante. Sa carrière de vie au sein de Ottawa Catholic School Board fut épanouie et s’arrêta en 2008, après avoir touché la vie de nombreuses personnes.
Parents et amis sont invités à visiter la chapelle St-Laurent de Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200, chemin Ogilvie (angle promenade de l’Aviation), Ottawa, le samedi 4 mai 2019 à compter de midi jusqu’au service commémoratif dans la chapelle à 13 h. Une réception sur les lieux suivra.
