It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in North Bay on Friday, April 26th, 2019 at the age of 81. Son of the late Arthur and late Lucienne (née Paquette) Simon. Beloved husband of Cécile (née Dumais) Gervais-Simon. Predeceased by his children Dennis, Robert, Rachelle and Norm. Loving step-father of Roxanne (Shawn) and Marie. Beloved brother of Eugène, Lawrence and Gertrude. Predeceased by many siblings. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will always be remembered by his special friend Rene Rainville (Tammy) who was his fishing and hunting partner. As per Alphonse’s request there will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME. Donations to ALS Society of Canada can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
