Sylvia Edna (Dunn) Parks
1933-2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sylvia Edna (Dunn)
Parks, wife of the late Donald Melvin Parks, announces her passing
which occurred on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing
Home. Born on July 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late
Arthur and Annie (Allen) Dunn.
Sylvia will be dearly remembered by her children:
Sharon Martin and Shane Hanson (Natalie); grandchildren: Lesli,
Shannon, Courtney, Devon and Justin; great-grandchildren: Sophie and
Elliott; step-children: Dana Justice and Christopher Parks; siblings:
Elva Watson, Beverly MacDougall (Len), Arthur “Jr”
Dunn (Norma); special friend, Doreen Barry, along with her aunt,
uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sylvia was
predeceased by her grandchildren: Gerald and Trevor; sister, Barbara
Archer and brother-in-law, Phil Watson.
Arrangements are under the care of
Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). In keeping with
Sylvia’s wishes there will be no public visitation or
funeral service. Interment will take place at Fernhill
Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish remembrances
may be made to the SPCA – Animal Rescue or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
