Lockhart, Mary Elizabeth
(Betty) 1929 – 2019, Moncton, NB – passed away peacefully
at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by her family, on
Monday, March 11, 2019.
Betty was born in
Peterborough, Ontario; she was the daughter of Walter and Mary Jackson
of Peterborough, Ontario.
Betty will be sadly missed by
her son, Doug and daughter-in-law Gail. She was predeceased
by her husband, C. Owen Lockhart and her sister, Margaret Mason and
brother-in-law, Len Mason. She was survived by her niece,
Susan Grayson of California and a nephew, John Mason of Saltash,
England.
Betty was an active member of
Central United Church, and a life time member of the
UCW. As well she was a member of the
Engineer’s Wives
Association.
Visitation at Fergusons
Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, March
15, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed immediately by a Service to
celebrate and honour Betty’s life in Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jim MacDonald leading the service. Reception in
the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment
will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Lakeville, Westmorland Co. at a later
date.
Donations to the Central
United Church or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated
