Julie Lafreniere Elliott October 19 1939 March 5 2019 (age 79)

Mary Beatrice Julie Elliott (née Lafreniere)
Suddenly in Ottawa passed away at age 79, with her family at her side at the General Hospital, March 4, 2019. Predeceased by her parents Veronica and Joseph Lafreniere, her adoring husband Ronald ‘Red’, brothers Danny and Michael. Her children Michael [Liz], Diana [Stéphane Thibodeau], Vicki [Chris Baker], grandchildren Tom and Joe Baker, Greg McLaren [Jessica] and great-grandson Mitchell McLaren will continue to carry her in their hearts. Mourned by siblings George [Marlene], Patrick [Eadie], Theresa [Dwight Shelp], Tim [Donna], sister-in-law Jean, brother-in-law Carl and all of their families. Julie had an enquiring mind and a love of fashion and design. Her thirst for knowledge was evidenced by her extensive library and her excitement when she discovered “Mr. Google” who set that enquiring mind free! Julie’s creativity took many forms in her works of art, poetry and short stories. We will hold a Celebration of Life on Friday, March 8, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt). In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. Condolences and tributes www.TubmanFuneralHomes.com
