Obituary of Jean McArthur
WWII Veteran – Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Lee Manor, on Thursday morning, March 14th, 2019. Winnifred Jean McArthur (nee Bent), of Owen Sound, at the age of 97 years. Dearly loved wife of the late John McArthur. Loving mother of David McArthur and his wife, Cathy, of Owen Sound and Paul McArthur and his wife, Brenda, of Orangeville. Proud grandmother of Pam (Tony), Derek, Ann Marie, Julia, Christina and Victoria. Dear sister of Thelma Harwood, of Ajax. Predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Lavina Bent; her grandson, Michael McArthur; her siblings, Reginald Bent (Mary) and Ethel Bent; her brother-in-law, George Harwood.
A Funeral Service for Jean McArthur will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Tuesday, April 16th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Graham Bland officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy.
