1952-2019
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Ina M.
(Bastarache) Flooks announces her passing, which occurred at
Bobby’s Hospice on March 3, 2019. Born October 3, 1952 in
Saint John, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Irene
(Tubb) Bastarache.
She is survived by her daughter Corrina Flooks (Mike), of
Saint John, N.B.; son Kevin Lyons of Alberta; grandson Alex Lyons of
Alberta; step-grandchildren Lyric, Mia, and Kingston; sisters
Christina McIntyre, Jeanet Hachey, Verna Gray, Valerie Smith, and
Rachel Clark (Donald); brothers Gerald, Bruce, Lawrence, Ivan, Philip,
and Hartley; aunt Imelda Bastarache as well as many nieces, nephews
and cousins. She is also survived by her friend of 50+ years, Andrea,
as well as her friends Harold and Linda.
Aside from her parents, Ina was predeceased by her brother
John; brother-in-law George Gray; grandnephew Wayne
Saunders.
Ina was a member of the CCB and loved to crochet, sing, and
play cards.
The family would like extend a special thanks to the staff of
Bobby’s Hospice for their outstanding care of Ina during her
final days.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (634-7424). In keeping with
Ina’s wishes there will be no visitation. Ina will have an
interment at Fernhill cemetery on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Bobby’s Hospice or to a
charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online
