1944-2019
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of
Eugene Richard Carlson husband of the late Suzanna A. (Jones) Carlson,
which occurred on Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born on January 15, 1944 in Torrington, CT, he was a son of
the late Gustof and Madeline (Bell) Carlson. He was employed with the
City of Saint John in the Parks Department for 28 years until his
retirement in 2005. He was a member of Local 18. He is a St.
Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed outside gardening, plants, and loved
music. He loved his Cairn Terriors, especially Jack #2 and his Shih
Tzu Libby.
He is survived by three daughters: Diane (Brian) LeBlanc of
DE, Georgia (Darren) Gonder of CT, Carla Carlson of Saint John; his
siblings, Jeannine Barber of CT, Regina Nelson of CT, Justin and Irene
Carlson of FL, Carl Carlson of CT, Sherry Wright of CT, Susan and
Frank Faccin of CT; grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Zane DeVoe Jr,
Dominique DeVoe, Danielle Kayat, Tyler LeBlanc, Dariene Carlson, Devin
LeBlanc and David Gaskell; five great-grandchildren; several nieces,
nephews and cousins. Many friends especially, Kevin Suttie and Cheryl
McCumons. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by
brothers, George and Tommy.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row,
Saint John, NB, (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, March 15, 2019
from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be no funeral service.
Remembrances to the Leukemia Foundation would be appreciated by the
